Most of March was spent planning for the trip. 3 out of the 4 weeks in March were so packed with work for me that I rarely had the time but we got done what we could. Planning the route that’d take across multiple borders has never been easier in this age of digital navigation and internet search engines where you can pretty much go through it all as a simulation without actually starting your car engine. Giving Lahore as the destination for the journey, Google suggests going through Afghanistan. You’d think Google, being Google, would know better than to suggest this route but it is the shortest possible road that we could take.

I’d LOVE it if I could explore Afghanistan by road but I dont think we’re ready for that just yet.
So I had to suggest some stops on the way. Something that’d take roughly two weeks to complete and would allow us to see more of the people, the countries that we’d be passing.
We thought the countries closer to home, in Europe are much easier to get to since they dont require any special visa or permits for us, so we’d like to spend the most of our time in Turkey and Iran instead.

great 🙂
